常见的英语单词构词法：转化、派生、合成、混合、截短、缩写等。
英语单词构词法之一：转化法
?英语中，有的名词可作动词，有的形容词可作副词或动词，这种把一种词性用作另一种词性而词形不变的方法叫作转化法。1)动词转化为名词①Let's go out for a walk.
②He is a man of strong build.
③Let's have a swim.
2)名词转化为动词①Please book a seat on the plane.
②Please hand me the book.
③She nursed her husband back to health. ④We breakfasted/ lunched together.
3)形容词转化为动词We will tryour best to better our living conditions. 4)副词转化为动词 Murder will out. (谚语)恶事终必将败露。
5)形容词转化为名词表示颜色的形容词常可转化为名词；某些形容词如old, young, poor, rich, good,bad,wounded, injured等与the连用，表示一类人。You should be dressed in black at the funeral. The old in our village are living a happy life.
英语单词构词法之二：前缀法
?在词根前加前缀，构成新词的方法叫做前缀法。前缀法构成的词在多数情况下词类不变。1．dis-表示否定，多与动词结合agree 同意 disagree 不同意appear 出现 disappear 消失courage 鼓励 discourage使泄气believe 相信 disbelieve 不相信
?approve 批准 disapprove不批准
?2．in-表示否定，多与形容词结合。
?有变体: im- / ir-possible 可能性的 impossible 不可能的visible 看得见的 invisible 看不见的regular 规则的 irregular 不规则的direct 直接的indirect 间接的
3．a-和动词结合起来构成相应词义的形容词或副词wake 醒来awake 醒来的live 生活alive 活着的4．mis-表示“错”，常和名词结合understand 懂misunderstand 误解print 印misprint 误印take 拿mistake 错拿
?5．re-表示“再”。和动词、名词结合repeat 重复
